CREW sues Obama White House
When Bill Maher suggested that President Obama needs a little "W in him", he meant by pushing through an agenda, not secrecy. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has sued the Obama White House for blocking access to the visitors log. This practice echoes the Bush/Cheney White House, as they also sought to block access to the logs claiming "Executive Privilege", President Obama is claiming they are "presidential records -- not Secret Service agency records, which would be subject to the Freedom of Information Act." Mr. President, you campaigned on "change" and "transperency", and not "more of the same". While you continue to have the majority of the country behind you, with much doubt from Conservatives and few questions from the base, this act provides fodder for the right and suspicions from the left. CREW was relentless in it's pursuit of transperancy and justice of the Bush White House, and I suspect they will not back down from you either. I ask you, do not pursue this fight...CREW's support comes from political junkies of the left and right, do not let this fester.
