When I started this blog I sat on the fence over a title and decided on honoring the late great Senator Paul Wellstone for believing in people, embracing his liberalism, and inspiring not just his fellow Minnesotans, but a movement of freethinking people. I love Billy Bragg, and recall 40-50 friends singing this song at a 1990 New Years Eve party with a band. Billy has since re-written some of the lyrics and it still rings relevant in todays horrific times. We are all looking for the Great Leap Forward.
The video isn't loading, but I hope the song isn't about Mao's Great Leap Forward. It it is you need to get a history book...or at least a canibalistic cookbook, if that's what you want.
